The third tier of formula racing, also known as F3, is set to begin its 13th season from 19th March 2022, know about the drivers list of the teams and their salary
The tournament will be a nine-round spec series, where all teams and drivers will race using the same car Dallara F3 2019. The F3 2022 season will have ten teams competing with three drivers each, making the series a 30-man race.

However, only 7 out of 30 drivers have confirmed their participation till now, so most teams are still looking to fill their seats with talented drivers.

Team and Driver Changes For The New Formula 3 Season
Van Amersfoort Racing will join the F3 tournament after purchasing HWA Racelab’s equipment in 2021.
The defending champion of Formula Regional European, Gregoire Saucy, graduated to F3 and signed up with ART GrandPrix. The reigning F3 winner Dennis Hugher left F3 and opted for F2, replaced by Oliver Bearman.
Five other players left F3 and opted for F2, including Logan Sargeant and Calan Williams. Lorenzo Colombo also left F3 and decided to race in Prema’s WEC competition. Isack Hadjar is another graduate from Formula Regional European Championship, and he will play in F3 with Hitech Grand Prix.

Format And Rules Of F3
The F3 2022 season is a spec-series where all drivers will use the same car Dallara F3 2019, with Pirelli tire compounds. Also, each vehicle will be powered with a V6 engine built by Mecachrome. The series will be a nine-round affair where 30 drivers will duke it out to champion the third tier of formula racing. F3 reverted to two races per weekend which increased the number of race weekends.
Drivers Salaries And Struggles In F3
The third tier of formula racing is a harsh world where drivers have to pay 0.75 million dollars to be registered with the teams and officially drive. Many drivers prefer to move to F2 if they realize their significant potential. In contrast, others quit F3 because they can’t make their living from F3.
For this purpose, many drivers quit and become test drivers or reserve drivers of teams in the upper tiers. This is why F3 teams struggle to find new players and fill their seats which is also pretty evident from 2022 season as till now, only 7 out of 30 seats have been filled.
