F1 Young Driver Test 2021 List, Date And All Details Of The Formula 1 Pre-Season Testing

After the conclusion of the 2021 Formula 1 season which witnessed Max Verstappen become the first Dutch to win the Championship. Abu Dhabi hosted the final Grand Prix of the season and is also responsible for the pre-season testing.

Meanwhile, many new drivers will step up on the grid and will find themselves behind the wheels of an F1 car for the first time. Therefore, teams will use two-year-old mule cars which will feature the new 18-inch wheels.

Formula 1 Pre-Season Testing And F1 Young Driver Test 2021: Teams And Drivers To Try Out 18-Inch Wheels

1. Alfa Romeo

Chinese driver Guanyu Zhou will take on the challenge tomorrow as he becomes the first full-time Formula 1 driver from China. Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas made his debut for Alfa Romeo today after 5-years with Mercedes.

2. Alpha Tauri

Red Bull’s sister team Alpha Tauri allowed Red Bull junior driver Liam Lawson to test the car on Tuesday before handing over the keys to Yuki Tsunoda for Pirelli testing. Pierre Gasly will be on the Yas Marina Circuit tomorrow for his testing.

3. Alpine

Alpine has acquired the current F2 Champion Oscar Piastri to try out their A521 and will be responsible for most of the testing in the next season. Meanwhile, Alonso and Ocon will try out the Pirelli challenge with 18-inch wheels.

4. Aston Martin

Nick Yelloly who is the field simulator driver of Aston Martin will try his luck on the Formula 1 circuit. Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll will take over the mule cars for Pirelli testing. The German driver will be on the circuit tomorrow as his teammate finished his work today.

5. Ferrari

Robert Shwartzman and Antonio Fuoco will take their time on the SF21 with Charles Leclerc trying out the 18-inch wheels on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz will step on the circuit tomorrow after his surprising podium in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

6. Haas

F2 runner-up Robert Shwartzman will also get a feel of the Haas which is the slowest car on the grid on Tuesday alongside Mick Schumacher. Meanwhile, Pietro Fittipaldi will take over the responsibility of Pirelli testing on Wednesday.

7. McLaren

McLaren has opted for the IndyCar title contender Pato O’Ward for the Tuesday testing alongside Australian Daniel Ricciardo. Meanwhile, Lando Norris will step up on the circuit the following day.

8. Mercedes

After missing out on the driver’s title, Mercedes are eagerly waiting to step on the circuit and begin this season. Formula E champion Nyck de Vries will partner George Russell who looks set a good impression in testing.

9. Red Bull

Juri Vips stepped on the circuit alongside current Formula 1 Champion Max Verstappen for the pre-season testing. Meanwhile, Sergio Perez will try out 18-inch wheels at the Yas Marina Circuit on Wednesday.

10. Williams

American F2 driver Logan Sargeant joined Williams Junior Academy this season and will be solely responsible for the testing on both days.
