With the exception of the drivers, they are therefore among the highest paid individuals in the paddock. Together with huge compensation packages come significant responsibilities, with those at the top managing operations in the background while serving as the organization’s public face.
They are reportedly paid enormous incomes; Christian Horner, the head of Red Bull, earns £8 million year, while Toto Wolff, the rival driver for Mercedes, is rumoured to get about £7 million who hit billionaire status in 2023 as per Forbes.
Additionally, Wolff purchased 1% of Lawrence Stroll’s Aston Martin Formula One team in 2020. Wolff has uncomfortably profited from that investment this year as Aston Martin’s value surged after they forced Mercedes off the podium in Saudi Arabia.
Given the quick increase in the team’s success over the previous ten years, the Mercedes team owner also holds a sizable share in the organisation that he directs as CEO.
Meanwhile, Horner’s net worth trails much below Wolff’s. From Red Bull’s early days to the current powerful team, the former driver guided the team to this success. He managed Sebastian Vettel’s heyday before helping Max Verstappen win two titles in a row.
