For the second race weekend of the season, the drivers and teams have crossed across from Bahrain to Saudi Arabia.

Last year, Red Bull’s Sergio Perez dominated from pole position, defeating teammate Max Verstappen by more over five seconds after starting from fifteenth on the grid due to a broken driveshaft during qualifying.
George Russell and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes were defeated by Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso, who was the best of the rest.
Meanwhile, Red Bull and Max Verstappen picked up where they left off in 2024, starting the season with the same dominance at the Bahrain Grand Prix held at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. Verstappen, the 2023 Formula One Champion, dominated the race and went on to win the Bahrain Grand Prix, leading his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez by a whopping 22 seconds.
Additionally, he was the fastest man on the track who continued to dominate the opening race, setting the best lap of the competition with a time of 1:32:608.
The event this year, along with the Bahrain Grand Prix, which opens the season, has been moved forward one day to Saturday night due to the start of Ramadan on Sunday, March 10. Thus, prior to qualifying, there will be one free practice session on Friday and two on Thursday.

At the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will take place on Saturday, March 9 at 12:00 PM ET.
