2022 F1 French Grand Prix Practice Race Results
Carlos Sainz of Ferrari claimed the quickest lap time during the French GP’s FP2 session, which is now over. In second and third place, respectively, were Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and his teammate Charles Leclerc. George Russell finished in fourth place, while Lewis Hamilton moved up to fifth overall. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc won the first practice session by 0.091 seconds over championship leader Max Verstappen as the Scuderia and a number of its competitors unveiled new vehicles.
Lando Norris finished a strong sixth for McLaren as he searches for performance from new components. Home favourite Pierre Gasly of AlphaTauri, Kevin Magnussen, Daniel Ricciardo, and Sergio Perez completed the top 10. Despite finishing first during practice, Sainz will have to start the race from the back of the field as he is facing 10 grid penalty after the control electronics in his Ferrari were modified as a result of his dramatic retirement from the Austrian Grand Prix two weeks ago.
2022 F1 French Grand Prix Race Track, Expected Weather, And Other Details
The Paul Ricard track in Le Castellet, France, is 5.842 kilometers long and contains 15 corners, three straightaways, and two DRS zones. On Friday, it was rather warm during practice races and the same can be expected for the race weekend. High temperatures of 33 degrees Celsius are anticipated on Saturday during the qualifying races, continuing the trend.

French Grand Prix Detailed Schedule
Starting at 4:00 PM local time / 7:30 PM IST, qualifying race for the French Grand Prix will begin and will follow the traditional Q1, Q2, & Q3 elimination session method. Before the qualifying race, a third practice session is also scheduled today.
