The whole Formula 1 Academy race schedule for the introductory 2023 season has been confirmed.

To offer the drivers the most experience on a variety of courses, the seven-event programme has been planned to include as many F1 Grand Prix circuits as feasible.

The much-anticipated campaign will start in earnest on April 28th, 2023. Before coming to a conclusion for the year, it will last for six months.

What circuits are scheduled for the F1 Academy?

The schedule for the 2023 F1 Academy will expose its drivers to a variety of challenging courses across the world.

The majority of the races take place in Europe, however the season finale will take place at the Circuit of the Americas as a support race for the F1 US Grand Prix.

On April 11 and 12, the drivers will test their skills on the track for the first time at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The start of the season will come after that.

There are also 13 additional testing days planned throughout the year, which will be disclosed in due course.

On each official racing weekend, there will be two free practise sessions (each lasting 40 minutes) and two qualifying sessions (15 minutes each).

There will be three races in each event, the first and third lasting 30 minutes and the second 20 minutes.

P1 results in Races 1 and 3 result in 25 points, while Race 2’s top finisher receives 10 points.

Who will race in the F1 Academy?

The F1 Academy has been gradually presenting its initial drivers ahead of the inaugural season. So far, six women have been confirmed.

Abbi Pulling, Nerea Mart, and Bianca Bustamante are former W Series stars who have transitioned to the Academy. Jessica Edgar, Carrie Schreiner, and Lena Buhler will also be there.

There will be a total of five drivers announced for the season, three of whom will be assigned to each of the five participating teams.

Buhler and Schreiner will represent ART Grand Prix, while Pulling and Edgar have joined Carlin.

Marti has signed Campos Racing, and Bustamante will compete for PREMA.

The only squad that hasn’t yet made its first driver public is Dutch outfit MP Motorsport.
