As the Formula One F1 2023 officially started with the Bahrain Grand Prix, check out the current points standings, following a successful first race of the 2023 season
Reigning world champion and two-time consecutive winner Max Verstappen and Red Bull made a perfect start to the season with a dominant race victory on the opening weekend.

The Dutchman led the whole race from start to finish with his teammate Sergio Perez who joined him alongside on the podium with a P2 finish.
Elsewhere, Fernando Alonso who displayed a good form during from practice did well with a P3 finish. The finish helped his Aston Martin side claimed their second-ever podium finish in the sport.
Meanwhile, things were not so fortunate for the Ferrari team as Carlos Sainz only managed a P4 finish. Moreover, Charles Leclerc had to forcibly retire from the race following a power failure adding to more misery.
