The Dallas Cowboys widely anticipated alternative helmet will be part of their new uniform for their Thanksgiving 2022 Day game against the New York Giants
But those real helmets aren’t supposed to be seen until the team unveils them during a ceremony.
Ezekiel Elliott Leaks Dallas Cowboys Helmet For The 2022 Thanksgiving NFL Game
Well, it appears that at least one element of Dallas’ Thanksgiving Day uniforms was mistakenly released on the running back’s Instagram account, giving us all an early peek at them. Zeke quickly removed the post, but not before TSG captured several screenshots. Jerry Jones will no doubt speak with Elliott about this. Zeke just leaked the helmet, which is good news. So, to speak, not all of the cat is out of the bag.
Dallas’ game against their division rival New York Giants in week 12 is probably going to be significant. Both football teams have identical 6-2 records after eight weeks. They may therefore be competing for a position in the playoffs as well as a chance to pass the 8-0 Eagles for first place in the NFC East.
Cowboys scold Elliott for leaking the helmet.
The Dallas Cowboys marketing department may have a few crossed streams, or perhaps the team just likes a little confusion in its social media feeds.
Ezekiel posted an apparent throwback helmet to his Instagram account without providing any context. It was simple to interpret the hidden meanings. Since Elliott was the only person uploading the helmet at the time, it was definitely leaked, much to the dismay of the Cowboys’ marketing department. The helmet was obviously going to be something the Cowboys would wear (presumably on Thanksgiving).
When they quoted tweeted an NFL media partner with a message addressed to their running back, the Cowboys appear to have confirmed the leak.

But this is where things start to get strange. The group had already made the helmets public. Back in July, the team posted a video online showcasing the throwback helmets and sent out a press release announcing they intended to wear them for Thanksgiving.
Keepin’ it classic with a throwback on Thanksgiving Day!

Elliott missed last week’s 49-29 victory over the Chicago Bears because of a knee sprain, which he is presently rehabilitating from. Elliott’s return during their bye week is all the more intriguing given that Tony Pollard exploded without him for 131 running yards and three touchdowns on 14 rushes and 16 receiving yards.
