Many fans are questioning why Mei, a fan favourite from Overwatch 2, is no longer playable and the changes
Blizzard has explained why she has been deactivated and removed. They have also provided information regarding her return date to the OW2 roster. Since OW2’s October introduction as a free-to-play game, its launch has been rocky. Players are still perplexed by its ranking system, and the community gave the Halloween event skin prices a lot of scrutinies.
Why Was Mei Removed and Disabled In Overwatch 2, Return Date And Changes
While there have been many concerns and complaints from fans since the game’s release, the community is currently displeased because the ice queen, a favourite of the audience, is gone.
How Come Mei In Overwatch 2 Is Disabled?
Because of the “unintended areas” that Mei’s Ice Wall ability allowed OW2 players to access, she has been deactivated and removed from Overwatch 2. Community manager Craig from the Blizzard forums provided this explanation. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time a hero has been crippled, whether you love the ice queen or detest battling against her.
In October, Bastion was fully gone, and Torbjorn was banned from competitive play. In addition, unlike returning players who have immediate access, if you are a total novice to OW, you must first unlock every hero.

What Date Will She Return To Ow2?
Mei will return to Overwatch 2 on November 15th, according to Blizzard. She’ll be back in the game alongside a fresh patch. Because of this, she will be entirely absent from the game for the next two weeks, which has irritated Reddit users.
Because three OW2 heroes were rendered inoperable in less than a month, players have criticised the game’s release. Additionally, many have asserted that Kiriko is the source of the issue, and Brigitte is expected to be the next to go.
This is due to the fact that several players have figured out how to hack Brigitte’s shield, as demonstrated on YouTube. Of course, as of this writing, no more deletions have been announced or committed. Follow The SportsGrail for more news.
