After several people posted images of an offensive artwork of Lord Krishna and Radha that was being offered on the two platforms, there was a stir on social media.  

The painting was described as “Inkologie Hindu Gods beautiful art painting print posters wall decor gift, as passion took over c.1775-1780, Gita Govinda, Radha Krishna in Forest Love Nest, 1213 inch one pack no frame” on Amazon.

How can Amazon portray such degrading images of Krishna and Radha since their connection is so pure and sattvik? Asked one user. Amazon needs to officially apologise for this. To make sure that this does not occur again in the future, care should be taken.

Krishna is a revered divinity in Hinduism, according to another. He is revered as the Supreme God and the eighth avatar of Vishnu. Making such offensive paintings of Lord Krishna and Radha and selling them online is wrong and offends the religious feelings of millions of Hindus! 

Amazon has received criticism in the past for allegedly hurting Hindus’ religious feelings. In the past, the platform was charged with peddling doormats bearing images of Hindu deities. 

When Is This Going To End?

Whereas some believe that a simple boycott is not the only solution. Companies like these should be sued or punished so that they do not repeat such acts. Time and again, Hindu gods and goddesses are targeted either by mocking or by displaying them in obscene situations. For ages, only one side of the community has been targeted by blaming them as the majority, pulling down their faith and culture from the global platform and from within the country itself, and rising minorities religions in the name of secularism. 

But, for how long will Hindu sentiments, patience, and tolerance level be tested, mocked, and taken advantage of?
