Just recently, in the latest app update, YouTube revamped the playback speed control interface, but it has seemingly triggered two annoying playback bugs among Android users.
Android YouTube users facing two playback bugs
According to reports, Android users are currently facing two playback bugs while using the app on their devices.
The first bug is related to the picture-in-picture (PiP) mini-player where users can’t seem to access it conveniently. A Reddit user with the handle (@a1200i), pointed out in his post that while trying to place the mini-player on the right side of the screen, the video goes off the screen. Notably, several netizens and users have also been facing the same issue based on the replies in the comments section.
Meanwhile, the second bug comes with the YouTube app preventing Android users from resuming the video until the users expands it to the fullscreen view. A Reddit user by the name (@zomby_c) highlighted this issue in their post by sharing a screen recording. The user also mentioned that the particular issue has been present for several days now. Just like the first bug issue, many other users also appeared to be facing this as well based on the comments.

YouTube playback bugs on Android how to fix
According to reports, the bugs are affecting YouTube app users on Android. Android Authority officials reportedly tried to replicate the issue using the latest YouTube app update but failed to do so. As such, Google may have reportedly stopped rolling out the new update containing the bug.
Notably, another Reddit user by the name @AncientCreators made a post claiming that users can simply fix the issue by uninstalling the updates. As such, Android users who are facing the above bus can simply try uninstalling the latest app update.
