BetVictor European Masters 2022 Day 1 Results, Main Tournament Day 2 Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
On the opening day of the BetVictor European Masters, Judd Trump defeated Noppon Saengkham 5-2. Recent BetVictor Championship League champion Luca Brecel was defeated 5-1 by Wu Yize thanks to an excellent performance. In order to win, Wu recorded breaks of 52, 80, 66, 88, and 109. Elsewhere, Jimmy Robertson defeated Andy Hicks by a score of 5-2 while Zhou Yuelong defeated Graeme Dott by a razor-thin margin of 5-4.
Yuan Sijun defeated Mark Selby in a tense opening round match at the European Masters, winning 5-2. Yuan will next face Jackson Page in the second round. Fan Zhengyi, the reigning champion, was defeated 5-1 by Michael Judge earlier in the day, while Stuart Bingham easily defeated Ian Burns 5-1.
Due to visa complications, Li Hang, Chang Bingyu, and Lei Peifan were compelled to leave the competition. Zhao Xintong, Scott Donaldson, and Marco Fu, their opponents from the previous 64, received byes to the round of 32. Despite having visa concerns of his own, Vafaei did not publicly withdraw from the competition. He was not present for the match, so Xiao Guodong was awarded a 5-0 victory.
