PDC European Darts Matchplay 2022 is scheduled to begin from 1st July 2022, we take a look at the tournament format, playing line-up, schedule, tickets, draw, fixtures, prize money
The draw and schedule of play for this weekend’s European Tour tournament are now known, and Gerwyn Price will face either UK Open champion Danny Noppert or Rowby-John Rodriguez in the second round. The ninth of thirteen PDC European Tour competitions on the 2022 PDC Pro Tour will be the Interwetten European Darts Matchplay.
From July 1–3, 2022, the competition will be held at the Trier Arena in Trier, Germany. There will be 48 participants in the field, and the winner will take home £25,000 of the £140,000 in prize money.
European Darts Matchplay Tournament Format
In the first round, the best of 11 legs will be used in all matches. Meanwhile, starting in the second round, all matches till quarterfinal will be played in a best of 11 leg format. A Best of 15 Legs format will also be used for the Final while best of 13 leg format will be used for the semi-final.

2022 European Darts Matchplay Schedule, Venue, Draw, and Playing Line-up
The ninth European Tour competition of 2022 will take place in Arena Trier over three days from Friday to Sunday. Joe Cullen, the defending champion, and top seed Ian Price will be the featured players this weekend in Germany.
Following the withdrawals of Peter Wright, Michael van Gerwen, and Michael Smith, there will be 13 matches spread across two sessions on Friday. Jeffrey de Zwaan, Luke Woodhouse, and German No. 1 Gabriel Clemens will receive byes into round two.
One of Friday’s more intriguing matches pits Noppert, a finalist at the Dutch Darts Championship last month, against 2021 World Cup of Darts runner-up Rodriguez. Former World Youth Champion Bradley Brooks will face home favourite Florian Hempel, while Players Championship 17 winner Scott Williams will face Radek Szaganski in his first match.
The evening’s curtain-raiser has Martin Lukeman, a finalist in the German Darts Grand Prix, taking on John Michael, while Mervyn King faces Sebastian Bialecki, a quarterfinalist in the UK Open.
In the second round on Saturday, the players who received seeds take the field: Price takes on Noppert or Rodriguez, while Cullen begins his championship defence against Ian White or Joe Murnan.

2022 European Darts Matchplay Playing Line-up
The top 16 competitors from the PDC ProTour Order of Merit on April 30 entered the competition automatically and were seeded in the second round. Players from six qualifying events filled the remaining 32 spots: 24 from the Tour Card Holder Qualifier, 2 from the Associate Member Qualifier, the two highest-ranked German players on the ProTour, 2 from the Host Nation Qualifier, 1 each from the Nordic & Baltic Associate Member Qualifier and the East European Associate Member Qualifier.

Prize Money Pool Distribution Of European Darts Matchplay 2022
European Darts Matchplay 2022 will have a net prize pool of £140,000 with the winner taking home £25,000, which is more than double the amount of runner-up. As per announcement, the runner-up will earn a total of £10,000.

When And Where to Watch: Live Stream And TV Telecast Coverage

The last 16 matches on Sunday’s Finals Day will take place in the afternoon session, followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship match in the exciting evening session.
