Rashad Sweeting (born 3 June 1990) in Barbados and nicknamed The Candyman, he is a professional darts player and 2 times PDC tournament winner.
As Rashad Sweeting and Jeffrey De Graaf squared off in an exciting second leg, Sweeting had the upper hand.
They ended up going 2-2, so there was a lot on the line. Additionally, Sweeting needed 194 to win the second leg and advance to the next round. Then he made a spectacular 180-degree turn to the audience’s pleasure.
Sweeting was ecstatic, but when he brought Chelsea star Palmer’s “cold” celebration to the stage, he went above and beyond as he complied to the request of a fan who had messaged him earlier to perform the celebration. Sweeting also received a £1,000 donation from the World Darts Championship for Prostate Cancer UK as a result of the 180.
However, he failed to make the double seven that would have sealed the leg. Rather, De Graaf fought back to win 3-1 in the end. After receiving a social media comment from a fan, it was later revealed that Sweeting performed Palmer’s “cold” celebration.
Rashad Sweeting career
In 2023, Rashad Sweeting participated in the WDF World Cup, marking his debut for his country. There, Slovenian Denis Duh defeated him in the opening round. Sweeting participated in the CLDC Tour in 2024, which was only for Latin and South American darts players.
He qualified as the top player in the standings for the PDC World Darts Championship 2025 because to the prize money he won there. He is the first darter from the Bahamas to accomplish this feat. After winning the first set and missing five darts to win the second, he fell 3-1 to Jeffrey de Graaf in his World Championship debut.
Rashad Sweeting could’ve played it sensible but he went for the 180 instead🎯
So, as thanks for being a legend and triggering another £1,000 donation from us to @prostateuk, we’re making the one-off pledge to pay his travel costs to and from the Bahamas.
