Euro 2020 is now over and we have a new champion that is Italy, here is a list of all the winners of the awards which were presented including the young player of the tournament

Italy defeated England in the penalty shootout and lifted the trophy of Euro 2020. Moreover, several young talents emerged in the tournament and many veterans proved themselves once again. Italy won the second consecutive match in the penalties and became the first team to win two matches which went into the penalty shootout.

Earlier, Italy lost the final in 2012 to Spain but they managed to clinch the title this time under Roberto Manchini. So, here is a list of all the award winners and the prize money in the Euro 2020.

Euro 2020 Awards Winners

The Euro 2020 is finally over and the Italians have lifted their second European trophy. Furthermore, many young talents emerged and many superb goals were witnessed in the tournament. England conceded only two goals in the tournament whereas Italy and Spain scored a maximum of 13 goals.

Golden Boot Winner

Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo scored five goals and won the golden boot of the tournament. Moreover, four of his goals were from the penalty spots. Patrik Schick of the Czech Republic finished second and was awarded the Silver boot. He had the same number of goals as Ronaldo but his game time was more than Cristiano that made him finish second.

Karin Benzema finished third with 4 goals and was handed the Bronze boot. He scored 4 goals in the tournament.

Euro 2020 Golden Ball

Italian Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma won the golden ball of the tournament. Furthermore, the award is given to the best player in the tournament. He is the second goalkeeper to win the award after Kasper Schmeichel in 1992.

Donnarumma was an absolute wall throughout the tournament and won two penalty shootouts for his team. Additionally, his second not to concede two goals for Italy is still on as no team against has managed to score Donnarumma’s goal two times in his Italian career.

Euro 2020 Young Player of The Tournament

Barcelona and Spain player Pedro González who is famously known as Pedri is the best young player of the tournament. Pedri was sensational for his team and played a huge role in his team’s journey which was ended in the semifinal. Moreover, Pedri just missed one pass in the match against Italy and he was one of the key playmakers for Spain.

Pedri is only 18-years of old and currently belongs to Barcelona.

Euro 2020 Best Goalkeeper And Most Cleansheets

England’s Jordan Pickford was brilliant throughout the tournament as he only conceded two goals in the tournament. Moreover, he kept 5 clean sheets in 5 matches. Furthermore, Belgium’s number 1 man Thibaut Courtois also conceded in two matches and kept three clean sheets.
