To minimise misunderstanding among fans of the boxing simulation game, Steel City Interactive has decided to change the name of the eagerly anticipated new boxing game to Esports Boxing Club, know the 2022 release date

That’s right, Undisputed has replaced eSports Boxing Club. That was made very evident two days ago on its official Twitter account, which has undergone the exact same modification (the new handle is @PlayUndisputed).

ESBC’s estimated release date window is now late 2022 and while the developer originally planned to release eSports Boxing Club for early access in summer 2021, the delay has been pushed back even further.

In a video posted to that channel, Creative Direction Ash Habib gave his justifications for the much-needed name change, saying in essence that it would give players the ‘clarity’ they so much needed.

According to the broad consensus, many who were considering purchasing the game wondered whether the title “eSports” indicated it was merely an online game.

It’s important to note that the game is still in progress and is not yet complete because it states “Alpha Footage – Work In Progress” across the top of the screen.

Nigel Benn and Carl Froch, two British middleweights, competed in a single round, indicating that genuine boxers will undoubtedly be included in the game.

Prior to the bell ringing, we can see the camera sweep around the ring, giving it a broadcast-style atmosphere and a tale of the tape sense.

The HUD has a heart rate monitor to the right of Benn’s stamina bar and to the left of Froch’s, as well as a round number and the amount of time left in the bottom middle of the screen. The health bars are red for Benn and blue for Froch.

The actual fight is fast-paced, with both fighters hitting some quite powerful blows. According to the heart rate monitors, Benn appeared to be by far the calmer fighter. He was cool in his head movement and defence while landing powerful blows.

Froch, on the other side, attempted to attack as frequently as possible and maintain possession of the ball as he occasionally managed to break Benn’s defence. It was a difficult round to predict, but both fighters came through unhurt, and it looked like it would be a great fight!
