Boston Celtics player Enes Kanter will celebrate becoming a US citizen by changing his name to Enes Kanter Freedom
Enes Kanter is a man on a mission this season.
Despite being shunned by his own team after his comments on China, Kanter has remained undeterred in his public attacks on the Chinese regime. Kanter has been a vocal advocate for stringent action against the Communist Party in China, one which has unleashed a reign of terror both on its own citizens and its neighbours.

The Boston Celtics player has also gone after LeBron James and Michael Jordan in the process with him calling out both for their lack of action when it came to facets of humanity. Enes most erectly went onto call Nets owner Joe Tsai spineless and a puppet of the Chinese after his outlandish comments where he talked about the entire Chinese population concurring with what its leadership did.
Kanter, 29, who is a native of Turkey has also been an outspoken critic of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish government with him needing to leave the country after the President ordered him to be killed for his comment. Kanter has since gone onto apply for citizenship in the US with him all set to become a citizen of the country this Monday.

And he’s going to celebrate in by legally changing his name to Enes Kanter Freedom as informed by his manager Hank Fetic. Kanter had his passport revoked by Turkey in 2017. Kanter meanwhile looks unlikely to play again with the Celtics more interested in safeguarding their monetary interests than throwing their weight behind their way.
