Prediction
World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka and reigning Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina will face off in the 2023 BNP Paribas Open championship match.
There aren’t many differences between Sabalenka and Rybakina’s playing styles.
Both players love playing their best tennis on hardcourts and have strong serving strokes, strong side-to-side swings, fluid footwork, and solid footwork.
While she looks to build on her perfect 3-0 WTA 1000 final record against a reliable opponent, Sabalenka’s serve, which used to be one of her greatest weaknesses, is now one of her greatest strengths.
Yet, Rybakina shouldn’t be disregarded following her second triumph in 2023 over Swiatek, the world’s top-ranked player. The Kazakh sent down 18 winners in the final four points while fending off all five break points from the Pole.
However, the Belarussian has experience over the Kazakh and this might be an advantage for her.
