Ed Ames Aka Edmund Dantes Urick was born on the 9th of July in 1927 and he, unfortunately, died on the 21st of May, 2023.

Ed Ames got married to Sarita Cacheiro in 1947 and they together have 3 children, Sonya, Ronald, and Linda. The duo got divorced on 5th October 1973 in Santa Monica, California. Ed then got married to Jeanne Arnold Saviano in 1998.

Ed Ames finished his studies at Boston Latin School and while maintaining his career, Ed attended the University of California, Los Angeles, after receiving his degree in the theatre and cinema arts in early 1975.

Ed Ames was born to Jewish parents Sarah and David Urick, who emigrated from Ukraine. Ed was the youngest of nine children, five boys, and four girls.

In the 1960s Ed Ames, started a career in acting after studying at Herbert Berghof School. Ed’s first role was in the off-Broadway production of Arthur Miller’s The Crucible.

Later on, Ames became a fixture on the Kenley Players circuit, headlining in Shenandoah in 1976, 1979, 1986, Fiddler on the Roof in 1977, South Pacific in 1980, Camelot in 1981, and Man of La Mancha in 1984.

Ed Ames recorded under the name “Eddie Ames” with Ames Brothers, releasing the single “Bean Song in January in 1957. Ed Ames sang “Ballad of the War Wagon” in the John Wayne Productions movie, The War Wagon in early 1967.

Ed Ames died at his home based in Los Angeles on 21st May 2023, at the age of 95 years. His death cause was Alzheimer’s disease.
