Tuesday in Kolkata saw the announcement of the 132nd Durand Cup quarterfinal lineup following a virtual draw that was conducted by the Local Organising Committee and representatives from the eight qualified clubs.

It was also decided to move the first quarterfinal from Kokrajhar to Guwahati due to the poor playing conditions made worse by the bad weather. Mumbai City, Gokulam Kerala, FC Goa, Chennaiyin, and Indian Army also earned spots in the quarterfinals as group winners from groups B through to F, while East Bengal earned group A honours.

The following are the quarterfinal lineups for the 132nd IndianOil Durand Cup, which will begin at 18.00 at all venues:

Quarter-final 1 – (August 24, 2023 at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati): NorthEast United FC vs Indian Army

Quarter-final 2 – (August 25, 2023 at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata): East Bengal FC vs Gokulam Kerala FC

Quarter-final 3 – (August 26, 2023 at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati): FC Goa vs Chennaiyin FC

Quarter-final 4 – (August 27, 2023 at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata): Mohun Bagan Super Giant vs Mumbai City FC

Following the conclusion of the Indian Army Football Team vs. Rajasthan United FC Group F game on Monday evening in Kokrajhar and the identification of the eight qualified teams, a video chat was set up in which representatives of all eight qualifying teams participated.

Durand Cup 2023 Quarter-finals Teams:

East Bengal FC

Carles Cuadrat’s team put on an outstanding performance in the remaining two games of the group stage. They defeated both the ISL and I-League champions after overcoming a discouraging 2-2 tie with Bangladesh Army in the opening game. The Red and Gold topped Group A as a result, earning seven points, and advanced to the quarterfinals.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant

The Mariners, one of the two top second-place clubs in the competition, have advanced to the quarterfinals after surpassing Mohammedan SC with a superior goal differential.

Mumbai City FC

The Islanders, who finished first in their group, advanced to the next round with three victories in three games.

Gokulam Kerala FC

Gokulam Kerala, who finished first in their group, has already secured a spot in the quarterfinals with two victories in two games.

FC Goa

As the winners of Group D, the Gaurs guaranteed their place in the quarterfinals.

North East United FC

The Highlanders, one of the two best second-place teams, have assured their place in the quarterfinals with a stunning comeback victory of 3-1 over Downtown Heroes in the pivotal game.

Chennaiyin FC

The Super Machans have made it to the quarterfinals with a flawless win record.

Indian Army

The Indian Army is in first place in their group after winning their first two games. Even if Rajasthan United FC defeats them in their final match, they will still advance to the next round. A loss, though, would mean elimination.

On September 3, the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan will host the Durand Cup 2023 final. The competition started on August 3.

This year’s edition included 24 teams, an increase from 20 the year before, featuring all 12 clubs from India’s top football league, the Indian Super League (ISL), as well as two overseas teams from Bangladesh and Nepal.
