Odisha FC was ousted from the Durand Cup on Saturday at the Salt Lake stadium after losing by the narrowest of margins during extra time in the second quarterfinal. Roy Krishna’s last-second goal gave Bangalore FC the victory and devastated the Odisha FC team.

2022 Durand Cup Bengaluru FC vs Odisha FC Results, Score, Winner, And Mumbai City FC vs Chennaiyin FC Preview
Bengaluru FC advanced to their fourth straight Durand Cup semi-final on Saturday in Kolkata with a tenacious 2-1 win over 10-man Odisha FC in extra time. As many as eight yellow cards were sent out during regulation time, and Odisha’s Shubham Sarangi received his marching orders. Despite being outnumbered, Odisha FC fought valiantly, only to concede in the 98th minute when Siva Sakthi scored his fourth goal of the competition. The game was levelled in the 115th minute thanks to a well-placed header by Diego Mauricio from a Sahil Panwar free-kick as Odisha suddenly improved and appeared to be a better team.
The game was about to go to penalties when Roy Krishna, scored the game-winning goal for BFC with the last play of regulation. With just a few seconds left before the final whistle, Ralte made the error of putting the ball out of reach. A fast throw-in found Krishna unguarded around 25 yards out, and the Fijian blasted a potent right-footed curler to defeat Ralte on all four ends.
Courtesy of the win, BFC will face winner of match between Rajasthan FC and Hyderabad FC in the semi-final on Thursday and attempt to win the elusive Durand Cup trophy. The victors of the encounter between Mumbai City FC and Chennaiyin FC on Sunday will play Mohammedan Sporting in the other semifinal on Wednesday.
Chennaiyin FC picked considerable speed and advanced to the Durand Cup quarterfinals after a sluggish start. Meanwhile, Mumbai City won its group and advanced to the last-eight round. Mumbai City, a former ISL champion, would be difficult to defeat because of their stronger offense, which is led by Lallianzuala Chhante and Greg Stewart.
