The South Zone Association have announced their final squad ahead of the Duleep Trophy 2023 with Hanuma Vihari as captain.

The Duleep Trophy 2023 starts from June 28 with all matches slated to take place in Bengaluru and the final will be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium from July 12-16.
All matches save the final will be four-day contests and here are the full squads and all the details of the tournament.

As of now, the Duleep Trophy 2023 is not being telecasted or live streamed in India.

There has been no first class matches post that , but he doesn't feature for SOUTH ZONE in the duleep trophy.

Besides he format and the dates, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is still yet to announce the fixtures and venues for the Duleep Trophy 2023.
South Zone squad announced for Duleep Trophy 2023
During its recent meeting in Goa on Tuesday, June 13, the selectors of the South Zone Association have picked a 15-man squad for the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2023. The squad will be led by 29-year-old Hanuma Vihari as the captain.
Given below is the full squad for South Zone team:
- Captain – Hanuma Vihari
- Vice-captain – Mayank Agarwal
- Wicketkeeper – KS Bharat and Ricky Bhui
- Sai Sudharshan, Washington Sundar, R Samarth, Tilak Varma, Sachin Baby, Sai Kishore, V Kaverappa, Vyshak Vijaykumar, Pradosh Ranjan Paul, KV Sasikanth, and Darshan Misal
Captain Hanuma Vihari is set to lead the South Zone team for the second successive year after he last guided them to the Duleep Trophy 2022 final. The veteran 29-year-old hasn’t played any form of competitive cricket ever since Andhra lost the Ranji Trophy quarter-final match against Madhya Pradesh back in January 31.
Meanwhile, Karnataka batter Mayank Agarwal will serve as the vice-captain for upcoming the knockout red-ball tournament. Indian wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat, and his Andhra teammate Ricky Bhui are set to be the wicketkeepers. KS Bharat recently featured in the WTC final match against Australia in London.
Duleep Trophy 2023 dates and format
The Duleep Trophy 2023 will mark the start of the 2023-24 domestic season in India. The tournament follows a knockout format with six different zones competing for the trophy. This year’s tournament will take place from June 28 to July 16 with the West Zone as the defending champions.
West Zone defeated South Zone in last year’s final by 294 runs to win the trophy. Senior Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane led the West Zone as their captain in 2022 edition of the Duleep Trophy. The South Zone team will earn an automatic semi-final berth in the upcoming Duleep Trophy after finishing as the finalists in the previous season.
