He did his schooling at Rashid School for Boys and Dubai School of Government. He continued his education in the UK’s Sandhurst where he graduated in 2001. Later, he attended the London School of Economics. He is a certified skydiver, scuba diver, and poet.
In 2019, he married Sheikha Shaikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum, his cousin. They both welcomed twins on May 21, 2021—a son named Rashid and a girl named Shaikha.

His Career
Before becoming Dubai’s crown prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum held the position of Deputy Ruler of Dubai from 2006 to 2008. He is well-known for releasing his poems. He has won several world championships in the equestrian discipline in the World Equestrian Games.
At the Alltech FEI World Equestrian GamesTM 2014 in Normandy (FRA), Sheikh Hamdan earned the gold medal. He also won team gold in 2012 and a bronze medal in 2010. On September 17, 2016, he led a squad of five UAE riders at the Samorn Championships.
