The first PPV of the year in the land of WWE made for an intoxicating brew. With Roman Reigns withdrawing from Day 1 owing to COVID-19, Brock Lesnar was asked to fill in with him going onto be subsequently crowned the new champion.

However, things weren’t quite so hunky dory for the Scottish Psychopath, Drew McIntyre. Involved in a scuffle with Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin, Drew showed why he is an-ex WWE champion and deserving of challenging for a title as well, something he’s yet to do since making the move to Smackdown as he routed Moss.

Things turned sour for him backstage though with him assaulted after the scuffle, an assault which led to him getting severely injured. The feud resulted in him suffering a cervical neck strain and severe contusions as revealed by WWE who provided an update on the wrestler.
While a return date for him will only be determined when Drew is further evaluated by the medical team with him set to have a further follow up with an orthopedic cervical specialist. However, given the injuries he’s sustained, Drew is set to remain on the injury bed for a substantial period before he’s able to return to the WWE Universe.
