A talented director and a large ensemble cast have been assembled by Hombale Films. Director Pawan Kumar, known for the films U-Turn and Lucia, is helming Dhoomam. Despite having started his career with Lifeu Ishtene, the 2013 release of Lucia signalled a turning point for his director. U-Turn, his second feature, cemented his reputation in the south Indian cinema industry.
Filmmaking is being handled by Preetha Jayaraman, while music is being handled by Poornachandra Tejaswi.
Even Fahadh Faasil, whose 40-year career has included more than 50 films and multiple film prizes, has been hired by the production business. He’s anticipated to play the movie’s leading man. Aparna Balamurali, a recipient of a national film award, plays the title role in the movie.
Launch date
A movie gets to the editing table after filming is over and stays there for a while before being released. In 2023, Hombale Films anticipates a summer release. Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Telegu are the four languages in which the movie will be released.
The Lucia director and writer Pawan Kumar is responsible for Dhoomam. Following the success of his second film, Lucia, which was crowdfunded, Pawan became well-known. The 2013 movie gained both commercial success and favourable reviews.
With the horror drama U-Turn, the director later solidified his status as one of the fresh voices in Kannada cinema. Then, Pawan revealed that a movie called Dvitva would be released in 2021 and star Puneeth Rajkumar. However, after the unexpected passing of Puneeth, the project was abandoned.
Dhoomam will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Along with Fahaad, Roshan Mathew and Aparna Balamurali of Soorarai Pottru fame have been cast by the producers.
