On Thursday in 2022 Denmark Open, Indian women’s doubles duo of Treesa Jolly & Gayatri Gopichand lost their second-round clash against sixth-seeded Thai duo of Kititharakul & Prajongjai in straight sets by score of 21-23, 13-21. With their win, Thai duo has advanced to quarterfinal stage, where they will face tough challenge against fourth-seeded Japanese duo of Yuki Fukushima & Sayaka Hirota.
In men’s doubles event, seventh-seeded Indian duo of Satwik Rankireddy & Chirag Shetty scored straight-set victory with scores of 21-14, 21-16 against Indonesian pair of Fikri & Maulana in their second-round match at 2022 Denmark Open. Points Award System
BWF Points System awards 11,000 BWF points to the champion of any doubles category event and 9,350 BWF points to runner-up of each category. Every semi-finalist duo will also be awarded 7,700 BWF points. Since the top-seeded men’s doubles pair was ousted in the first round, the other pairs, including the Indian duo of Chirag and Satwik, can now earn as many BWF points as possible to catch up to the top team and move up in the BWF World Rankings.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
After awards are given out in accordance with BWF regulations, the total prize pool for the 2022 Denmark Open will be $750,000. From this prize fund, the champion pair in any doubles category event will take home $55,500, while the runner-up pair in any doubles event will take home a total of $26,250. Meanwhile all semi-finalist pairs will bag prize money of $10,500 each, which is same as prize money for semi-finalist of any singles category event.
