While the ‘regular’ belt isn’t widely regarded as a real world title, Dubois’ victory could pave the way for a crack at the WBA ‘super’ belt. In an effort to reclaim the WBA ‘super’, IBF, and WBO belts, Joshua will face Ukraine’s Usyk this summer, most likely in Saudi Arabia.

However, a rematch with Usyk or Joshua may not be in the cards for Dubois, as the victor of the unification event is expected to fight for all four belts in an undisputed clash. Tyson Fury is the current WBC champion, however he has stated that he intends to retire from the sport. Instead, Dubois might defend the’regular’ belt against either Hughie Fury of the United Kingdom or Michael Hunter of the United States, which is scheduled to be an elimination match on 2nd July.
