After the UFC and ESPN decided to increase the cost of pay-per-views starting in 2023, MMA fans started trolling Dana White on his Instagram as he offered free tickets to the Power Slap League
For UFC pay-per-view events in 2023, ESPN recently stated that their price would increase from $74.99 to $79.99; however, the annual subscription fee of $99.99 for ESPN+ subscribers won’t change.

White has come under fire from fans in the comments section owing to the UFC pay-per-view pricing change.
One fan replied to Dana White and indicated unequivocally that they preferred a lower pay-per-view pricing than a Power Slap giveaway: Why not lower the f***ing PPV costs? Another fan said that the pay-per-view pricing should be reduced because American middle-class households cannot afford the increase.
The Instagram user @tylerriodawn made fun of Dana White by saying that UFC fighters aren’t paid anyhow and predicted that people will start to consider illegally streaming UFC material as a result of the new price: “I appreciate the price rise. Considering that none of your sportsmen makes any money, I’ll start streaming bouts.”
Dana White gives a UFC Hall of Famer a position in the Power Slap League
MMA fans will be thrilled to see the familiar face of Forrest Griffin on their televisions if they tune in as Dana White prepares to launch his new Power Slap endeavour in 2023. The UFC Hall of Famer will assume the role of the “head catcher,” whose responsibility it will be to ensure that participants don’t collapse or stumble back after being slapped.
Griffin talked about the new position on Instagram and expressed enthusiasm for the sport’s future: “I intend to catch heads. It does seem like a very interesting job, after all. In addition, I have the finest seat in the house and, to be honest, I’m not bad at catching hurt individuals. I’m sort of doing it for research. I’m just curious to see how things turn out and the various impacts.”
