At the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, Chennai Super Kings paid a record Rs 14 crore for all-rounder Deepak Chahar.
At the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, Chennai Super Kings paid a record Rs 14 crore for Chahar. In previous seasons, he was MS Dhoni’s most potent weapon in the league, and without him in the starting XI this season, CSK’s bowling lineup appears to be vulnerable. They don’t have a strong strike bowler.
Chahar, 29, was the second-most expensive player in the 2022 player auction. Moreover, Super Kings paid INR 14 crore (US$1.866 million) for him.
Due to his success as a bowling allrounder, Chahar’s bid was one of the most hotly fought at the auction. Chahar’s batting prowess was on display in his past three One-Day Internationals, with match-winning performances of 69* (against Sri Lanka), 54 (against South Africa), and 38 (against West Indies).
