Born on November 8, 2002, Tilak Verma hails from Hyderabad, Telangana. At the age of 10, he joined the Legala Sports Academy in Telangana to pursue his dream to become a cricketer.
The 20 year old has a height of 5 feet 11 inches. He is a Hindu by religion.

Varma attended the Hyderabad Public School in Begumpet, Hyderabad. He later earned his degree and is now a graduate.

The most significant fact about Tilak is that he made his first appearances in domestic cricket for Hyderabad between the ages of 16 and 17 and in first-class cricket at the age of 18.
On December 30, 2018, he played his first game of first-class cricket against a local Andhra team. And in the four first-class matches he has had the opportunity to play so far, he has scored 255 runs with two half centuries.
The List A Debut For Tilak
On September 28, 2019, he faced the Saurashtra side in his List A debut for the Hyderabad team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Tilak has also had the opportunity to participate in 16 List-A matches, during which time he scored 180 runs in five matches and also took four wickets.
Tilak has participated in 15 T20 matches so far, totalling 381 runs with a 143 strike rate.
He made media headlines when he pitched the best inning in the 2020 Under-19 World Cup final. He scored 215 runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with a strike rate of 149.

He makes his IPL debut at the age of 20. In 2022, he made his IPL debut with the Mumbai Indians, one of the league’s most successful teams.
Mumbai Indians paid Rs 1.9 crores to acquire Tilak in the IPL 2022 auction, which was 8.5 times his base rate of Rs.20 lakhs.
