Jitesh Sharma, 29, was born in Amravati, Maharashtra, India, on October 22, 1993. He is an Indian professional cricketer who currently represents Vidarbha in Indian domestic cricket competitions and plays for Punja Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was born to Mohan and Ashima Sharma and has an elder brother, Karnesh Sharma. He was born in Amravati to a Brahmin family and follows Hinduism.
Jiten began playing cricket as a kid and hoped to be a professional player. He subsequently went on to join the Sant Gajanan Cricket Academy in Amravati, Maharashtra, to improve his batting talents. He passed from Golden Kids English High School after completing his schooling there.
Playing Career
Jitesh began his professional cricket career with Vidharbha and made his T20 debut against Uttar Pradesh in 2014. In 2015, he made his Ranji Trophy debut against Odisha. In the T20 format, he used to open the innings and has appeared in 22 List-A games, scoring one century. He also had an outstanding 2022 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy season, amassing 224 runs in 10 games for Vidarbha with a strike rate of 175.00.
