Ashley Chandrasinghe is in limelight as he recently combined with Peter Handscomb in a partnership of 157 runs. He uses the batting technique used by Kumar Sanghakara and Michael Hussey. Ashley Chandrasinghe’s Professional Career And Achievements
Ashley Chandrasinghe made his debut for the Casey-South Melbourne Cricket Club in 2019 season and marked his debut with a century. Ashley made his debut for the Victoria Second XI in November of 2021. Ashley played cricket in Darwin when Victoria was out of season. In August of 2022 Chandrasinghe set a new record by hitting up five consecutive centuries in the Darwin Premier League. Such was his form with Waratah and he was honored with Ralph Wiese Medal in September of 2022.
Chandrasinghe was awarded a rookie contract with the Victoria for 2022 to 2023 after his 2021 to 2022 season. He then with the Victorian Second XI saw he scored a total pf 423 runs at an average of 84.60.
He made his top-notch debut for the Victoria on 28th of October, 2022 in the Sheffield Shield against Tasmania at the Blundstone Arena, Hobart. He replaced Will Pucovski on the side. He completed day one in 63 not out after sharing a 157-run partnership for the third wicket with Victoria captain, Peter Handscomb. On day two he finished his debut century and finished by 119 not out as Victoria declared on the 351-7.
