In the competition, Juventus hopes to win their first championship since 2021. After winning four straight games, the league’s top teams are finding their rhythm again thanks to the Old Lady. On the other hand, AC Milan and Atalanta have been waiting for the domestic crown for a very long period.
Coppa Italia was initially held in 1922, but the top teams were not present in that edition. The competition would then be discontinued until 1926, when it was reinstituted but was abandoned before it could be completed.
The competition did not recommence until 1958, but it has since endured for many years as one of the most esteemed in Italian football. Since Italy’s top domestic cup competition began as a 37-club competition in 1922, sixteen teams have won the Coppa Italia.
With a total of 14 Coppa Italia victories as of 2023, Juventus held the record. AS Roma and Inter tied for second place with nine trophies apiece. The 2022–2023 season was Inter’s most recent cup victory.
