Each week, contestants on the Indian Tamil language cooking competition show Cooku with Comali (abbreviated CWC) are paired with comedians (comalis) who are also amateur cooks. The show airs on Star Vijay and can be viewed online via Disney+ Hotstar.
The episode always begins with a celebrity chef and their Comalis wine. After that, the teams battle it out in Advantage Tasks 1 and 2. Following the Main Task, the teams compete in the Immunity/Elimination Task. The edge task is a very simple assignment that a team completes in order to get an edge in the main task, where the winning team gets to pick when they work without interruptions.
Each team faces a unique set of challenges and obstacles in the kitchen during the Main assignment. Each team has a certain amount of time to complete its cooking. Comalis is responsible for the majority of the kitchen duties. The chef who receives Immunity is exempt from the upcoming week’s elimination. There are no losers’ brackets during celebration rounds in certain weeks.
