Satheeshan Pacheni’s Family And Education
Satheeshan Pacheni was one of the grandsons of Pacheni Uruvaden who led several farmers’ agitations and underwent imprisonment numerous times including in the Mavicheri case for the Communist Party. Manicheri Satheesan aka Satheesan Pacheni was born as the eldest son of a farmer and diehard Communist worker Mr. Palakkeel Damodaran and Manicheri Narayani. He was married to KV Reena and had 2 children namely Saniya and Jawahar.
After finishing his basic education from Pacheni Government LP School he completed his higher education from the Iringal UP School and Pariyaram Government High School. He also secured a Diploma in the subject of Mechanical Engineering from the Kannur Government Polytechnic. Later on Satheeshan Pacheni passed the pre-degree from Kannur SN College and secured a degree in Political Science from Payyannur College.
Satheeshan Pacheni Professional Career
Satheeshan Pacheni was attracted to Congress after reading the speech of A K Antony in the AIIC Meeting in Guwahati in 1977 and 1978 against the misuse of the Emergency in the newspapers. He respect for the value-based politics put forward by Antony who prompted him to join KSU during his school days.
Satheeshan started his political career with KSU and he went on to become its general secretary and State president. Later on Pacheni competed in the Kerala assembly elections in year 1996 from Thaliparambu. In years 2001 and 2006 he contested from Malampuzha against V.S. Achuthanandan in 2016 and 2021 from Kannur but lost in all of them. He also contested in the Lok Sabha elections of year 2009 from Palakkad constituency but lost by a small margin. He has also been the general secretary of KPCC.

Satheeshan suffered cerebral hemorrhage on 19th October 2022 and died at a private hospital in Kannur, Kerela on 27th October 2022 at the age of 54 years.
