The 12 Indian wrestlers competed in Birmingham and all received medals. Up to six of them won gold medals, including Olympic medalists Ravi Dahiya, Sakshi Malik, and Bajrang Punia. Notably, the wrestling team from India was able to duplicate its success at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast with all 12 of its wrestlers winning medals.

2022 Commonwealth Games Wrestling Latest Results, Indian Medal Winners, Upcoming Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
Ravi Kumar Dahiya of India won the gold medal in the men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling on Saturday, exactly one year and two days after he earned the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. On his debut at the Commonwealth Games, Ravi Dahiya overcame Nigeria’s Ebikewenimo Welson to claim the top podium spot and win the gold medal. Welson was about to lose when he rolled out of the ring, but the Indian wrestler quickly added two more points and won via superior technique.
Vinesh Phogat earned the top podium spot in the women’s 53kg competition on Saturday, adding another another gold medal to India’s collection for the Commonwealth Games 2022. Vinesh Phogat, 27, entered Birmingham 2022 as a two-time champion and, after going unbeaten, won her third consecutive CWG gold.

At the Commonwealth Games 2022, Indian wrestlers dominated the field and won a total of six gold medals, one silver medal, and five bronze medals to remain their perfect record of winning medals across all weight categories. Except India, Canada and Nigeria were the only countries to win a gold medal in wrestling as both of them managed to bag three gold medals apiece.
