2022 Commonwealth Games Squash Semi-final Results, Saurav Ghosal Match, Medal Round Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
At the 2022 Commonwealth Games 2022, Indian squash player Saurav Ghosal fell to New Zealander Paul Coll 3-0 (11-9, 11-4, 11-1) in the men’s singles semifinal. However, Saurav Ghosal still has a chance to earn his first singles medal at the CWG since he will compete for the bronze medal against either James Willstrop of England.
In the first game, Saurav Ghosal squared up against Paul Coll, who won the silver medal at the CWG 2018. They both engaged in intense squash matches, slamming the ball into the front wall and frequently scoring points with soft drops to the side. Coll took advantage of the better opportunities, though, and won the close first game. After that, the Kiwi was at his best, giving Saurav Ghosal the run-around at the University of Birmingham Hockey and Squash Center as he competed in his fourth CWG. Coll jumped out to an early 8-0 lead in the third game, and Ghosal only managed to take one point, before the Kiwi finished off the match and advanced to his second straight CWG final.
