In Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre’s opening doubles match against Ramhimlian Bawm and Mohutasin Ahmed Ridoy, the Indian men’s team fielded its top-ranked players Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Harmeet Desai. The Indian TT pair dominated and won the first match 3-0. (11-8, 11-6, 11-2). The ITTF singles rankings place none of the Bangladeshi table tennis players among the top 600. But the reigning champions India didn’t back down, as Sharath Kamal, a veteran of five CWGs, defeated Rifat Sabbir 3-0 (11-4, 11-7, 11-2) in the second game. With a 3-0 (11-2, 11-3, 11-5) victory over world No. 602 Mohutasin Ahmed Ridoy, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran completed India’s 3-0 win and set up a semi-final matchup against Nigeria.
The men’s table tennis team from Nigeria, which includes the No. 15 player in the world, Quadri Aruna, will present a tough test to India in the semi-finals. 2022 Commonwealth Games Men’s Team Table Tennis Semi-final Fixture, Date, Time, And Venue
The 2022 Commonwealth Games’ men’s team table tennis competition is taking place at Birmingham, England’s National Exhibition Centre, from July 29 to August 2. Indian men’s team defeated Bangladesh with a score of 3-0 in their quarterfinal encounter on July 31 to clinch a berth in the final-four. Later today, the men’s semi-final matches will be played where Indian Men’s Table Tennis team will play against Nigeria.
