The XXII Commonwealth Games, also referred to as the 2022 Commonwealth Games, is an international multi-sport competition for Commonwealth nations that will take place in Birmingham, England from July 28 through August 8, 2022.

Number of Indian Players in Each Sports of 2022 Commonwealth Games
From July 28 to August 8, 2022, India will compete at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. India will be participating in the Commonwealth Games for the 18th time. The 108 men and 107 women on the Indian squad, who will compete in 15 sports, were announced in July 2022. India will not participate in rugby sevens, beach volleyball, netball, or 3×3 basketball.
The women’s cricket squad, which qualified based on the ICC rankings, has been placed in Group A with bitter rivals Pakistan, Australia, and Barbados. Meanwhile, Group B was assigned to New Zealand, South Africa, England, and Sri Lanka. The men’s hockey team was placed in Pool B of the men’s pool stage together with Ghana, England, Canada, and Wales, but the women’s hockey team was placed in Pool A of the women’s pool stage along with the same teams.

2022 Commonwealth Games Indian Contingent and Events List
Neeraj Chopra, Dutee Chand, and Hima Das are among the 37 athletes nominated by India to their athletics team for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Amit Panghal, Mohammad Hussamuddin, and five-time Asian medalist Shiva Thapa were selected for Birmingham 2022 together with other Commonwealth Games medalists. The selection of the men’s boxers followed trials held in Patiala. Mary Kom had an injury during the trials, preventing her from being eligible for the Commonwealth Games.

India’s 12-member weightlifting team for the Commonwealth Games 2022 was one of the first to be finalized, and it would be led by reigning Commonwealth champion and silver medalist Mirabai Chanu from the Tokyo Olympics. At the Commonwealth Games 2022, Mirabai Chanu was supposed to participate in the 55kg division rather than her favourite 49kg, but she was forced to switch owing to last-minute rule changes.

2022 Commonwealth Games Where to Watch: Live Stream & TV Telecast?
In November 2019, Sky New Zealand paid for the rights to broadcast the Olympic Games in 2022 and 2026 in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. In July 2020, the production company Sunset+Vine will broadcast the event as its host. The event will be shown in the UK in October 2020 thanks to a deal the BBC made. In October 2021, Seven Network acquired the broadcasting rights for the 2022 Games in Australia.
