2022 Commonwealth Games Cycling Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
A multisport international competition for Commonwealth nations, the 2022 Commonwealth Games, often known as Birmingham 2022, will take place in Birmingham, England from July 28 to August 8, 2022. Birmingham will host the Commonwealth Games in 2019, making it the eighth time that the United Kingdom will host the tournament after Cardiff in 1958, Edinburgh in 1970 and 1986, and Glasgow in 2014. Manchester hosted the Commonwealth Games in 2002 and London hosted them in 1934.
Since the second iteration of the Games, cycling has been a feature of the Commonwealth Games 2022. Cycling, an optional sport, has been included in every iteration of this competition. Even though India has never won a medal in the sport, their present performance tells much about their talent and future as players.
On the strength of their recent international success, Team India will try to break their medal drought at CWG. In the just finished Asian Track Cycling Championship, India won 20 medals thanks to all players especially Ronaldo Singh, the junior world champion. Nine male cyclists and four female riders make up India’s 13-member contingent for 2022 CWG Cycling. New phenomenon Ronaldo Singh, Rojit Singh, David Beckham, and Essow will be in charge of the Indian delegation. In the women’s division, Mayuri Lute will be in charge of driving the effort. Lee Valley VeloPark in London will host the majority of track cycling events at 2022 Commonwealth Games.
