The 2022 Commonwealth Games’ cycling competition will take place between July 29 and August 7 at four different locations. Indian cyclists finished far behind the medal winner in various events like women’s 500-meter time trial, men’s 15 km scratch race, and men’s sprint race  at CWG 2022 on Sunday.

2022 Commonwealth Games Cycling Day 3 Results, Monday Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue

In the women’s 500-meter time trial final of 2022 Commonwealth Games, Mayuri Lute placed quite far behind in 18th place, as Indian cyclists struggled once more on Sunday at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022. Lute finished in the bottom half of the 20-cyclist final with a time of 36.868 seconds, while Australia’s Kristina Clonan won in 33.234 seconds. Elsewhere, Indian cyclist Vishavjeet Singh failed to complete the men’s 15 km scratch race.

In the pre-quarterfinals of the men’s sprint race earlier in the day, top Indian cyclist Ronaldo Laitonjam was defeated by Australia’s Matthew Glaetzer. The 20-year-old Indian came in 0.162 seconds behind Glaetzer and completed the 200 meters in 10.011 seconds. In the qualifying round, his teammates David Beckham (10.120) and Esow Alben (10.361) placed 18th and 23rd, respectively.

On Monday, L Ronaldo Singh will compete in the men’s 1km time trial event while other Indians will also be in action in cycling’s other events at CWG 2022. This will be the last opportunity for India to grab a medal in Track Cycling since it will be the last day for the sport.
