2022 Commonwealth Games 2022 Commonwealth Games – Women’s Singles Badminton Latest Results, Semi-final Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
The two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu defeated Goh Jin Wei in the CWG 2022 quarterfinals at the National Exhibition Center by scores of 19-21, 21-14, and 21-18.
The opening set was won 21-19 by Goh Jin Wei despite PV Sindhu’s attempts to make a comeback by leveraging her height to create angles. With extended rallies, PV Sindhu, who is renowned for her stamina, upped her game to exhaust Goh Jin Wei and won the second set with a score of 21-14. As a result, the match went into decider set, where PV Sindhu persevered after falling behind at one point and won 21-18. Finally, PV Sindhu was able to defeat Goh Jin Wei in one hour and 17 minutes.
For a spot in the championship match, PV Sindhu will now compete against Singapore’s Yeo Jia Min, the fourth seed. Aakarshi Kashyap, however, was defeated by Scotland’s Kirsty Gilmour in straight sets with a score of 21-10, 21-7.
