The world’s No. 7 men’s doubles team, Chirag Shetty and Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy, defeated Malaysian opponents 21-6, 21-15 to advance to the Commonwealth Games 2022 final. After this result, the duo is guaranteed at least a silver medal but will give it their all to convert the opportunity into a gold medal. Meanwhile, women’s doubles duo of Koong Le Pearly Tan and Muralitharan Thinaah defeated the young women’s doubles team of Tressa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand in straight games in the semifinal.
On August 8th, 2022 at 3:50 PM IST, the gold medal match between Satwik and Chirag will begin. But tonight at midnight, Jolly and Gopichand will have the chance to cap off their campaign in style by taking home the bronze.
