In a recent Euro 2020 press conference, sponsor Coca-Cola lost $4 Billion when Cristiano Ronaldo dismissed the bottles kept in front of him and said “Drink water”
Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo proved just why he is renowned as a health fanatic when he clearly expressed his opinion about the carbonated drink Coca Cola. During a press conference in Budapest on Monday, the football star shifted the bottles of Coca-Cola away from him. He then held up a bottle of water and declared in Portuguese, “Agua!” encouraging people to drink water instead.

Coca-Cola is one of the six main sponsors for Euro 2020, alongside the likes of TikTok and Heineken. The bottles were sitting right in front of Ronaldo thanks to Coca-Cola’s long-standing sponsorship of international soccer tournaments. The dismissal of the aerated drink isn’t a surprise as CR7 has spoken of his dislike for Coca-Cola and other unhealthy food items before.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Diet
The Juventus star doesn’t even approve of his son Cristiano Jr. to consume the beverage. “I’m hard with him sometimes because he drinks Coca-Cola and Fanta sometimes, and I’m pi–ed with him,” he said at Dubai’s 2020 Global Soccer Awards. As for himself, the 36-year-old eats six healthy meals each day. He starts his day with with a selection of hams and cheeses and a side of yogurt. He then eats two lunches and two dinners full of chicken salads, steak and fresh fish.
His diet is certainly no joke with the perfect shape he is in all the time. Last Tuesday, he scored twice in Portugal’s 3-0 win over Hungary. He moved beyond France great Michel Platini as the record goalscorer at the European Championship finals with 11.
