According to the television station, the well-known television journalist and producer passed away on Wednesday (January 11, 2023) due to a cardiac episode that occurred earlier in the day.

Chris Rose, at 63 years old, has spent the better part of the last three decades at News Center Maine working as a reporter and as a producer of newscasts. After beginning his career in journalism at WSMW-TV in Worcester, Massachusetts, he went on to work at WBZ-TV in Boston in the capacities of writer and producer.
Chris was married and had two daughters but his family members names are not known. His net worth stood at $2 million.

Following his employment at News Center, which began in 1986, he initially held the position of newscast producer before moving to the front of the camera to report on breaking news as it occurred. In 2018, he resigned from his position at the television channel. Following his departure from News Center Maine, Chris took a position at the University of New England in Australia working as a public relations strategist.
Chris Rose has covered big projects during his career
Chris has covered a variety of high-profile issues over the course of his illustrious career as a journalist. These include the explosions that took place at the Boston Marathon in 2013 and the loss of the cargo ship El Faro in 2015.
Chris also managed to score an interview with the late actor and Good Will Hunting star Robin Williams while he was in Maine filming a movie at the time. Chris was honoured by the Maine Association of Broadcasters with entry into the Hall of Fame that same year (2017).
