In the 2023 China Open women’s singles category, the reigning world champion An Se-young extended her winning streak with an impressive 21-18, 21-14 semi-final victory against fourth-seed Tai Tzu-ying. In the other semi-final, former world champion Akane Yamaguchi emerged victorious by score of 19-21, 21-15, 21-17 against the reigning Olympic champion Chen Yufei. It is confirmed that An will face-off against Akane on Sunday with the prestigious title at stake.
Elsewhere, top-seed women’s doubles pair Chen & Jia will clash against second-seed Baek & Lee with the championship at stake.
