Hikaru Nakamura, fresh off his Fischer Random World Championship victory, continued his winning streak to win all-four matches against Jan-Krzystof Duda 4-0 at the quarterfinal of Chess.com Global Championship. After this 0-4 score-line, Duda must win each of remaining four games to have any chance of qualification. In another quarterfinal between youngsters, Sevian is leading against Nihal Sarin by score of 2.5-1.5 and will look to defend his winning position on Thursday.
Following his defensive masterpiece & surprise attacks, Wesley So holds 3-1 advantage over Dmitry Andreikin and looks set to qualify for semi-final unless Andreikin manages an unlikely miracle. Elsewhere, Anish Giri struggled against Teimour Radjabov but after clinching one win and three draws from four games, he leads this tie via 2.5-1.5 score line. As per tournament format, the player to reach 4.5 points in each quarterfinal will be declared winner and qualify for semi-final.

According to an official release, the winner of 2022 Chess.com Global Championship would receive a prize of $200,000. The $1 million total prize fund will include $100,000 for the runner-up.
