Chatrapathi film is a remake of a 2005 Telugu movie which is of the same name. The film stars actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas who is playing the titular role with Nushrat Bharucha, Bhagyashree, Sharad Kelkar, Freddy Daruwala, and more. Mayur Puri has written the dialogues and Nizar Shafi has carried out the cinematography.

The Principal photography of the movie commenced in 2021. The director of the original movie, S. S. Rajamouli, came for giving the mahurat shot.
Chatrapathi release date and plot
Chatrapati was released theatrically in India on the 12th of May 2023.
Shivaji is a refugee and also adopted son of Parvati, who sets out to find his mother after getting separated from his jealous brother. While searching for his mother, Shivaji met Sapna, who helps in his crusade, and the duo falls for each other.
While Shivaji battles against Bhairav and Bhavani for harming fellow refugees, all begin referring to him as Chatrapathi. Ashok learns that Shivaji is still alive and he joins hands with Shivaji’s enemies to finish him with them. Despite all this, Shivaji ended his enemies and reunites with Parvati. Ashok apologizes for his mistakes after realizing that Shivaji helped him out.

Chhatrapati is the first Hindi film of South actor Bellamkonda Srinivas which released on 12 May. There was a lot of talk about the film, but it has lagged far behind in terms of earnings and according to reports, the film collected 45 lakhs at the box office on Day 1, 60 lakhs on Day 2, 53 lakhs on Day 3, 40 lakhs on Day 4, 26 lakhs on Day 5, 23 lakhs on Day 6, 11 lakhs on Day 7, 13 lakhs on Day 8, 9 8 lakhs on the first day and 20 lakhs on the 10th day. The film has collected Rs 3 crore in total in 10 days.
