Charlotte FC’s Anton Walkes, a defender and midfielder, unfortunately, was killed in a boating accident in Florida, know his cause of death and net worth
On Wednesday afternoon, two boats collided close to the Miami Marine Stadium. Walkes was found unconscious and given CPR by Miami Fire Rescue. The vessel’s commander, Walkes, was injured and later passed away while being treated at a local hospital. According to TMZ, the crash is being investigated.

Anton Walkes, who was he?
On February 8, 1977, Anton Charles Walkes, a former English Premier League defender and midfielder, was born. Walkes began his club career with a League Cup appearance for Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur. He was loaned to Atlanta United in 2017. His loan was extended in August till the end of the 2017 season.
Walkes was hired permanently by League One team Portsmouth in July 2018 after finishing the 2017–18 season on loan with them. He remained at Portsmouth for an additional two years until re-joining Atlanta United in January 2020. In 2022, he joined Charlotte FC and stayed there until his passing in 2023. He temporarily joined the reserve team after his loan with Atlanta United ended before being sent out once more.
Following the collision of two boats close to Miami Marine Stadium, Walkes was found unconscious and later declared dead on January 18, 2023. Walkes joined Tottenham Hotspur in July 2013 and made his career debut there.
He made his first team debut on September 21, 2016, in a 5-0 victory over Gillingham in the EFL Cup. In that game, he entered the game as a substitute in the 80th minute. Walkes faced Bayer 04 Leverkusen twice while playing three times as captain in the UEFA Youth League group stage. Walkes temporarily joined the reserve team after his loan with Atlanta United ended before being sent out once more.
