The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) is about to resume with the 2025 edition tickets now out
Fans will be entertained once more by this unique League, which combines cricket with glamour.
During the month-long Celebrity Cricket League 2025, fans will witness their favourite athletes and technicians competing against one another on the field.
Both sides compete in two innings of ten overs, combining T20 and Test cricket. Following a month of fierce competition, the top 14 teams from each team’s four games will go straight to the semi-finals.

This year, CCL is abandoning the IPL format including qualifiers, eliminators and will, instead, have the top 4 teams from the group stage head to the semi-finals. The T20 matches will continue to be played in Test format with teams playing two innings of 10 overs each and the first 3 overs of each innings will be Power Play overs.

Celebrity Cricket League 2025 venue and streaming
Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat, and Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru are the locations. Although the location for the semifinals and final has not yet been decided, there is a lot of talk that Mumbai would most likely host them.
But don’t worry if you can’t watch the games live at a stadium in your area. Sony Sports 3 will broadcast the CCL matches live, and Disney+ Hotstar will also provide live coverage. The updated schedule states that while Hyderabad and Surat cricket fans see the majority of the teams on two days each, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Cuttack only get one day of cricket.
Star Suvarna will telecast all matches featuring the Karnataka Bulldozers with Kannada commentary, while Star Vijay Super will have all the Chennai Rhinos matches with Tamil commentary.

This year’s knockout matches will not follow the same format as previous years, when the top two teams have the opportunity to advance to the finals. In previous years, two teams would compete in Qualifier 1, and the losing team from Qualifier 1 would face the winner of the eliminator (between No. 3 and No. 4). However, the top four teams will now face off in two semifinal matchups this year.
